Grant (1869-1877) and friend of Mary Todd Lincoln, was unveiled at 2006 opening events for First Ladies Park located on the grounds of the Grant Home and museum in Galena, IL offering an expansive lawn overlooking a tree-shaded park in the valley below it. | noted at the Order of Lincoln Award event, the celebrated sculpture is known for its depiction of Lincoln's quiet strength. Presidential Lincoln Heroic Head Monument by Carl Tolpo The Lincoln Heroic Head monument by Carl Tolpo at Barrington High School was the original bronze casting and first dedicated in 1958. The plaque reads: “Lincoln is a symbol of the indestructible virtues in the dignity of man. This statue was dedicated to this great truth, for our youth and citizenry.” It shows an example of a granite pedestal, monument side detail recognizing Abraham Lincoln. |
